Congratulations on your impending arrival!
Your first prenatal visit is generally the longest during your pregnancy, as it is designed to confirm your pregnancy and to determine your overall health.
The purpose of the prenatal visit is to:
- Determine your due date.
- Find out your overall health history.
- Determine if you have any pregnancy risk factors based on your age health and/or personal and family history.
- Discuss if you are currently taking any medications (prescription or over the counter)
- Explore the medical history of family members.
